It is Iyabo again, Mondays are usually crazy however nothing beats the weekend I just had..

Iya Iyabo, didn’t allow me near the computer so I could not tell you what happened during the weekend… it was a weekend to remember.

Now the famous Iya Basira you hear people singing about is my Aunty, my mother’s sister (My mother comes from a lineage of bukka merchants).

Iya Basira is a big time bukka merchant in Isale eko, if you haven’t eaten her food, then your taste buds have not experienced foodgasm yet. She has plenty influence in Isale Eko and she is both feared and loved. I love my aunt but sometimes I think she over does it.

The Owambe, gold, parties, my aunt is a whole vibe and a half and she drags my mother along most times

Iya Basira enjoys when praise singers showers her accolades, the euphoria, the high she gets is something to be studied,even my mother rolls her eyes sometimes.

Now I was opportuned to attend a party with them this Saturday as my siblings had a birthday party to attend and I was all alone, Iya Basira came all glittered up, gold, gold, everywhere, she was wearing the latest voile lace and Italian shoe and bag to match, she whispered to my mum in silent yet mischievous glee that everything she had on was over 1 million naira, she needs to represent, One and only Iya Basira of Isale Eko.

My mum shrugged as this isn’t new to her, her sister’s brags, Typical, very typical Iya Bash style.. lol (she hates me calling her Iya Bash).

We got to the party, and as to be expected, the praise singers started, Iya Basira started dancing, soaking it all in, dancing and showing off the gold and blings….unknown to her, the wrapper of her expensive voile lace was loosening little by little, my mum didn’t notice neither did I as we were not interested in the praise singing…Iya Basira’s wrapper came off….
Her simi (chemise)was see through and very dirty (very very dirty)with mighty holes of wear and tear, from the holes u can see she had no pant on…haaaaaaaaaaaaa…

The final blow was when the drummers and praise singing stopped all of a sudden,every one at the party turned immediately to see Iya Basira in the middle with her lower goods on display…
