Mazeophobia

The fear of getting lost……

I have had this phobia for so long and that has hindered me from going to so many places, if I don’t know it I ain’t going🤣🤣.

Moving to Manchester,my phobia travelled with me, I stayed indoors when I don’t have to go any where and I stayed inside more than I liked, I fear adventuring out alone, 2 people getting lost is better than one person so I stay put….

On Thursday I was told to visit the London office for a meeting.. I got to london Euston 2 hours before my meeting, and I decided to walk around Euston, it was the first time I ventured it, my fear took over, “What if I get lost?, what if I can’t find my way back?, what if my gps stops working?Blah blah bla

I switched off the voices in my head and gave my fear a spin…

After my meeting which went great by the way, I switched off my gps, switched off the voice in my head and decided to explore London, gotlost, found my way, walked the length and breath of Oxford street, walked through Piccadilly Circus and ended up in soho for some Chinese…

Guess what???? I didn’t die, I didn’t lose my way and I got home in one piece …

Sometimes our Phobias can hinder us, mine hindered me for years, they stop us from being who God wants us to be and truth is fear is not a good thing, I have a lot of phobias and I intend to conquer each one as the days go by…

Do you have phobias? It could be anything that grips your heart and stops you to moving ahead in life? Shut that voice and take that step, little steps will get you there…

As part of my little steps I am going to Liverpool today……. yaaaay alone by the way😂

Yours Sincerely

CIA
