As someone who adores tea and coffee, I always begin my day with a steaming cup of my favourite brew. This morning, while sipping my tea, I couldn’t help but reflect on how important it is to start the day with a positive attitude. Call me superstitious, but I genuinely believe that if my morning begins on the wrong foot, it sets the tone for the rest of my day. I feel unsettled and bothered if things don’t go smoothly in the morning, and it can be a real challenge to regain my positivity once it’s lost. That’s why I always make it a priority to start my day with a cuppa positivitea – it helps me to stay centred, focused, and ready to tackle whatever comes my way.
This morning was a real struggle for me. As I was getting ready for work, I was also trying to ensure my daughter was ready and that we were both out the door in time to beat the morning traffic. I had set a strict deadline, but things didn’t go as planned. While rushing to prepare my lunch, I accidentally spilt my coffee all over the table. I was so frustrated and upset that I almost broke down in tears. To make things worse, I was on the phone with my mum simultaneously, and she could hear the desperation in my voice. I told her my morning would be a disaster, and she tried to console me by saying I was tired. But I knew it would be a rough day, and I couldn’t shake the feeling of dread.
In a moment of frustration, I caught myself dwelling on negative thoughts. However, I quickly remembered the promise I made to myself constantly to speak positively, even when I didn’t feel like it. So, I corrected myself and told my mum it was a great day. I assured her I would have a wonderful time today and planned to make another cup of coffee and savour it without constantly checking the time on my wristwatch. I consciously decided to let go of my worries and simply go with the flow of the day.
The power of positive words is undeniable. Even though it can be challenging to maintain a positive mindset, I have learned that it is possible to turn around a bad day by focusing on uplifting thoughts. I know from personal experience that it’s easy to fall into a negative mindset, but the beauty of it all is that we can always pick ourselves up and take a sip of “positivitea.” I’m still learning how to cultivate positivity, and I believe that we can all benefit from sharing our experiences and learning together. So, let’s all raise our cups of “positivitea” and spread some good vibes!
Have a great week.
