25th of December on social media was a vibe, different pyjamas, so many families, I fed my eyes, read the comments, ohhhhhed and ahhhhhhhhed, laughed, smiled and even made a joke about the pyjamas trend fading soon..
I lay down on my bed reflecting, so many planning and thought must have gone to this one day, some must have done an elaborate photoshoot so they could release the pictures on that day showing a picture perfect family. While picture perfect is nice and in most instances beautiful, my mind still drifted.
What happens after 25th? Will that spirit of festivity linger? Will that family bask in the euphoria of the joy that day brings with all the ohhhhhhhs and the ahhhhhhhhs and the “so cute” statement?
Have you started your plans for 2023? Do you know what you want to do? How you want to achieve what didn’t happen in 2022? Have you thought about the kids school fees? The house rent? that project you have been putting off for sometime now?
I am not a kill joy, I want everyone to enjoy , it is Christmas after all however, the energy we put in planning for 25th of December should also be the same energy you put to planning for the coming year… Planning does not start on the 31st of December, a little too late of you ask me…
