Working in a corporate environment has its challenges,being a woman adds to this challenge,now being a single woman makes it even worse.
The men will either look down on you or when you shine they conclude you must be using bottom power….today it’s not about the men,it’s about your own kind…women in the working place..that is a whole different ball game,you think you have to struggle to meet up with the men (in the corporate world men and women are viewed the same ) now you have to battle with the pettiness and jealousy of the women folks,and worse when you ain’t married…
Jealousy of women folks in the work place is salient but deadly….they smile in front but can’t be happy when you succeed
Let me try and paint a scenerio……..
A female colleague of mine who has been with the company for 26 years (dat pikin go Don finish university) had an issue and kept pushing back to d MD how hard this is and that is… knowing who MD was,he added me in d mail trail and said;Charity please assist.
I didn’t see a problem in that so I sent a mail to this colleague of mine to inform in ways I could assist..she didn’t reply any of my mails or pick my calls but was responding to other emails…I couldn’t take it so I sent a private email to know what was going on…..
She replied telling me she didn’t reply my mails on purpose and that if she didn’t my help she would have asked bla bla bla…
I was upset to say the least,I  told her you should have replied MD saying you didn’t need my help without keeping me quiet.
I am sure there are women in your work place hating on you cos you can get the job done or they feel threatened by you.
Don’t relent,keep doing what you are doing.
